Astronomical Society of the Pacific

The Astronomical Society of the Pacific (ASP) is America's first and longest-standing national astronomy organization. Based in San Francisco, the non-profit was founded in 1889 and has been turning scientific advances into experiences that inspire and inform people everywhere. The ASP sits at the intersection of science and society, uniquely uniting professional astronomers, amateur observers, teachers, students, and families under one sky. Our vision is creating a future where science is a language everyone speaks and astronomy becomes the bridge between knowledge, imagination, innovation, and better lives for all.

The ASP is downsizing its local offices and finding new homes for its incredible library of hundreds of books from textbooks to popular science, history to biographies, and star atlases to space exploration.

Please help give these books a second life!
